It is with a mix of pride and a bittersweet farewell that we announce the retirement of our esteemed Director of Operations, Terri Sell, effective December 31, 2024.

Terri’s remarkable career in the crop insurance industry spans nearly four decades, beginning in 1986. From her early days in the fields of Eastern Kansas with her father, to her rise through the ranks at Continental Insurance and Fireman’s Fund, Terri has consistently excelled.

In 2002, the sudden death of a well-known agent led Terri to obtain her agent license and help save a master agency in Illinois; this was a return to her roots, bridging the gap between corporate and the farmers she had grown up with. Terri subsequently joined ProAg in 2004, where she played a pivotal role in leadership positions until her first retirement in 2019.

In 2022, Terri’s longtime friend, Robert Gideon, called to request that she join a specialized group to start a new AIP. Driven by her passion for helping others, Terri returned to crop insurance to help start this new company, today known as Advanced AgProtection! Her expertise and unwavering commitment have been invaluable to our organization.

Beyond her professional accolades, Terri is a dedicated volunteer and an active member of her community. As a Court Appointed Special Advocate, she advocates for foster children in need. Her involvement in Kansas State Master Gardener and her active presence on LinkedIn, where she shares motivational posts, further demonstrate her commitment to service and leadership.

As Terri embarks on her second retirement, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for her exceptional contributions to the Advanced AgProtection team. Her wisdom, dedication, and positive spirit will be deeply missed. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors and know she will continue to make a meaningful impact in whatever she chooses!
